Joe Pelati and Leslie May Endorse Greg Travis

Tea Party Leaders Choose Greg Over Politics As Usual

July 16, 2015 – Today Greg Travis is pleased to share word of his endorsement by Joe Pelati and his wife, Leslie May. Joe, a current Republican Precinct Chair, and Leslie became involved in grassroots politics in 2009 when Joe helped found the Houston Tea Party Society. Joe and Leslie were a driving force behind the 2012 Saddle Up Texas Straw Poll held at Minute Maid Park that enhanced the role Texas voters played in the GOP presidential primary process. After having evaluated the candidates in the race for District G, Joe and Leslie are proudly supporting Greg Travis for Houston City Council.

“Greg Travis is a tough, smart leader who will bring fresh perspectives to Houston City Council and push new plans to make our City a better place. As a Conservative-Tea Party-Libertarian-Republican Activist, I have found that Greg and I are aligned on the major issues. I fully support Greg Travis for Houston City Council."
- Joe Pelati
Republican Precinct Chair, Precinct 70

"In a crowded field of typical politicians, Greg Travis is the proverbial breath of fresh air. He doesn't talk like a politician, and he doesn't solve problems like one either.
We need solutions to Houston's fiscal challenges, workable solutions that will prevent us from further kicking the can down the political road. Greg Travis is the candidate to get us there."
