Republican Activist Marisa Rummell Praises Travis's Knowledge and Accessibility
July 29, 2015 – Today Greg Travis proudly announced his endorsement by Marisa Rummell. Marisa was the first Hispanic elected officer of the Texas Federation of Republican Women, served twice as past Texas Chair of the Republican National Hispanic Assembly, was an appointee of George W. Bush to the Small Business Administration National Advisory Council, and is currently a Director of the San Jacinto River Authority, appointed by Gov. Rick Perry, and a Republican precinct chair.
“I’ve known Greg Travis for more than 25 years. Years ago he represented my husband and I as our attorney, and no matter what time of day or night we needed him, he always responded. We also knew that when he gave us an answer, it was the inside, outside, and in between. He covered all the angles and we knew we could trust him to help us make some tough decisions.
“Greg also served as my General Counsel while I was Texas Chair of the Republican National Hispanic Assembly, providing me with excellent counsel during my time there which allowed me to focus on our priorities.
"I’m proud to endorse Greg for District G because he’s proven himself as someone who makes sure to have all of the details necessary to make the right decision and as a listener who will always be personally available to the people he represents.
That’s exactly what District G needs."
