August 25, 2015 – Today Greg Travis proudly announces his endorsement by the Houston Association of REALTORS® (HAR) Board of Directors. In making the announcement, HAR Political Affairs Advisory Group Chair Suzanne Page-Pryde applauded Mr. Travis for his commitment to the interests of Houston property owners.

"This November, Houston Voters have a great opportunity to elect new city councilmembers who will truly represent the best interests of homeowners. We believe Mr. Travis understands that we must ensure Houston remains a great place to do business and will do what’s right for Houston property owners, which is why we’ve pledged our full support."
- Suzanne Page-Pryde, HAR Political Affairs, Advisory Group Chair

“When Greg laid out his plan to address the needs of the 5 distinct areas within District G, River Oaks, Galleria, Inner Memorial, Westchase, and Highway 6, I recognized his ability to address exactly what District G needs. I believe Greg will bring strong leadership as well as the energy and willingness to best represent all areas of the District, not just one.”
- Rob Cook, HAR’s 2007 Board Chair, District G resident since 1989

Houston REALTORS® are involved in the political process at all levels, promoting policies and supporting candidates who advocate for property rights and homeownership in the City of Houston. According to the U.S. Census Current Population Survey, Texas ranks 44th out of 50 states in homeownership. The City of Houston has a 47 percent homeownership rate. Electing public officials who understand homeowners’ concerns and act accordingly is the Association’s top priority.

"I am honored to receive this wonderful endorsement from such an illustrious organization as HAR. They truly know the needs of the community as they are hands on in every neighborhood having over 29,000 members who care about their communities. I will endeavor to ensure that when I am on Council Houston remains the best place to work, live and raise a family."
